It’s a bastardization of a piece of the song “Rainbow Connection”, by Kenny Ascher and Paul Williams and most famously performed by Kermit the Frog on his banjo. Andy also performs this song while playing the banjo. The exact lyrics of the song piece are:
“So we’ve been told and some choose to believe it. I know they’re wrong wait and see, Someday we’ll find it, the rainbow connections. The lovers, the dreamers and me.”
What Andy actually sings:
“So we’ve been told and some choose to believe it. I know they’re wrong wait and see, Cause one day we’ll find it, the ainbow-ray onnection-cay. The lovers, the dreamers and me.”
Jim told Andy earlier in the episode that Pam enjoyed people who spoke Pig Latin, which is why he would have substituted the pig latin for “rainbow connection”, and possibly for the show to avoid any copyright infringement.
