Caylee Anthony
2-year old Caylee Anthony went missing on June 9, 2008 but her mom never reported it. Finally after a month, Grandparents called police and they discovered the child missing and tired of all of the mom’s different stories. The mom, Casey Anthony said she didn’t call the authorities because she was doing her own investigations, like she’s seen in movies. Watch this video from headline news for all the details:

This is a very sad situation and very similar to the bizarre case of Trenton Duckett which was also in the Central Florida area. That My Space page belongs to Caylee’s mother but according to the site has been taken over by Caylee’s uncle in order to help find Caylee. The mother hasn’t shown the least little bit of concern over her daughter who has been gone for 6 weeks already. I would be out of my mind with worry if it were my child and would have called the police the minute I missed her. I just have a hard time fathoming people like this!

I believe Casey’s bizarre behavior (and Cindy’s too) is because whoever has Cayley has told Casey that if talks, Cayley will be killed. She has always been a loving and caring mother, with no mental illness. Her behavior now is out of character. Cindy’s anger and frustration with the media is due to fear and also worry about her granddaughter and her daughter. Yes, this is a mystery, but locking Casey up and treating her like a criminal will not help find Cayley. I am convinced that she is afraid for her child’s life if she talks.
Leila, you make a good point. I had thought about that but why would she make up the story about her job it doesn’t add up. While I agree with, that this very may well be what is happening, I don’t think you can blame the police and media for reacting the way they are.

If the attorney for the mom has information on the child, hopefully he disclosed it to the authorities..Can’t'an officer of the court be held responsible if he has information on the child’s whereabouts or situation which could moght become a crime? I know that an attorney doesn’t have to disclose after-the-fact criminal activity but i don’t think that’s the case for potential future crimes.
Leila, I thought that to at first. But, I think if that were the case she would tell her mother to stop showing up on all the news chanels, which would just piss off a kidnapper and surly put her in harms way.
I just saw an interview with Cindy Anthony. She is not answering basic questions, under the premise that her job is to get the picture out to the public. I don’t mean to sound insensitive, but the picture was on the screen while she was being interviewed; the picture is there. Why can’t she both show a picture and answer basic questions about her daughter’s bizarre behavior? When she started arguing with the interviewer (Fox interview) and hung up, she was accomplishing less than she would have accomplished if she would have answered the basic questions. The public is tired of the JonBenet Ramsey lies about her death. Until the interview I saw, I was willing to support (financially), but now I’m “JonBenet”-ed and I think I speak in behalf of a lot of the frustrated public — from this point on, I’m going to be a spectator of a soap opera, not a participant, which I was willing to be, until I saw that even the grandmother is willing to hide truth and cover up. The girl is dead. The mother is responsible. The grandparents are trying to cover it up. JonBenet Ramsey all over again.
I also just watched the heated interview with Cindy. I can understand that she is frusterated with the media. I can also understand that she is concerned with the well-being of her daughter Casey. BUT A 2 YEAR OLD IS MISSING!! It seems to me that maybe this 2 year old was a burden on Casey so she came up with some plan to have her “taken care of”. Casey, Im a 23 year old single mom with a 2 year old… never in my right mind would I be so unconcerned with the whereabouts of my child!!! If in fact, Casey does know what happened to little Caylee, she deserves to rot in her jail cell! I have been telling everyone I know about Caylee Anthony. I pray this little girl be found safe. I think about my own 2 year old and it brings me to tears.

OMG…The most appalling thing regarding this tragic story is how absolutely defensive and uncooperative the grandmother is…She tells the media “Casey is telling authorities “in her own way”….what the x#!@&%^$#@ does that mean? Does she not speak english? The facts speak for themselves…this 22 year old knows exactly what happened to this baby…i agree with the all the other comments…theres a reason Casey is as messed up as she is…her mother is an enabler and just as much mentally twisted…i doubt this will end like Trenton Ducketts mother as this mom has no morals or remorse. But sounds more like Susan Smith…how sad…
If someone kidnapped her then where is the ransom note …….why her ..if she knows who “kidnapped her child and her story is they will hurt the child then she knows what they want so tell the police and lets get them what they want and get the child back …either these people have her safely hidden and want media attention because they are nuts or an innocent life has been snuffed out because of a mothers inability to cope with reality and a messy cover up has insued.

Why haven’t they done a lie detector test on this girl and her mother? Casey definately knows what happened to Caylee and so does the grandmother. I think the father and brother though have no idea where the child is. I’d have Casey stay in jail for good, unless she starts telling the truth. thats a spiteful, deceitful girl and has done nothing but steal and lie. Now the parents shed was broken into and a shovel and gas stolen????Hopefully she didn’t kill her own daughter, dig a hole and pour the stolen gas in it to burn,. I think the grandmother needs to be in jail as well. She knows alot more about this than she is letting on. These two women are sick and need professional help. Poor Caylee, I hope whoever does have her is taking good care of her. I pray this terrible mother did not kill this precious angel. I can’t believe it took her a month to call this in. There is no doubt in my mind this mother-Casey Anthony, has killed this little girl, Caylee. No one can figure out why but the fact that Casey is a pathological liar goes without saying. Why can’t the attorneys assigned to this case do more than what they are doing. I would love to beat her (Casey) to death. I feel no sympathy for her whatsoever. Only for Caylee, who is the real victim here.
I have never been so frustrated in my life, following this story! I have a daughter and would be out of my mind if she went missing. The fact that Casey has done nothing but lie to the police, and show absolutely no remorse or worry, and smiles for the camera…it’s obvious…she is a sociopath and has killed her daughter to get her out of the way. Who parties with friends while your daughter is supposedly “missing”. Why can’t they give her a lie detector test or give her some kind of truth serum. Did Caylee ever mention this babysitter by name to grandparents or anyone? Seems like she would have if she’d been watched by the woman for two years. If she never ever talked about the sitter, it’s just more proof that the woman doesn’t exist.

If the Anthony’s never got the notice from the tow yard that their car was there…Casey would have never come forward. It was only after Cindy Anthony got the notice from the tow yard, called around to Casey’s friends, and then threatened her with arrest for car theft..did Casey admit the child is missing. Casey almost has gotten away with murder.
She had found a man during her time away from home and the child became an albatross around her neck and she took her out like trash.
Hopefully all the attention given to this story will help to shed some light on Caylee’s disappearance.

I think Casey Anthony is a sociopath and I believe she did something to that poor little girl. I also think her mother is an enabler and knows more than what she is saying. There is something wrong with that grandmother. This Casey is nuts! If she knows who has her daughter she would be talking, not stonewalling the police. All she is thinking about is herself. I was thinking sence after a few days of watching this that noone has mentioned that maybe the l;ittle girls mom gave her something to make her sleep while she was partying an it may have accidentley killed tyhe baby maybe she was so distrought that she has even conviced herself that the baby is aloive because it is just so hard to deal with tehtruth i hope the baby is fine an well i am praying for caylee an casie god give her peace of mind if i would accidently kill my kid i would be so crazy an i would also know my parents would kill me maybe this is teh case i hope not
I cannot imagine any mother killing her child or even if it is an accident trying to cover it up. But I have seen her reaction and there is not one mother that really loves her child that can be as unconcerned as this mother is. My children are grown, and have children of their own, but I still keep in close touch with them, just to know that they are ok.
If my daughter loses sight of her children for one second, she hits the panic button. No, whatever has happened to this child, she has one uncaring mom.
