Caylee’s Grandma in heated exchange with Fox News
July 21, 2008Cindy Anthony was on Fox News this morning and she got into a pretty big argument with our friend Megyn Kelly.
Props to Megyn for being firm with her, something about this story doesn’t make sense. I understand Cindy taking it personally, but the family needs a thick skin at the moment until we can find this little girl.
Caylee’s Grandmother needs to stop blaming the media. Her daughter is a pathological liar and needs to get her head out of the sand. Now Gramma wants us to believe that Casey knows where Caylee is and should be let out of prison.
The grandmother must think we are all as stupid as she is to believe anything that comes out of her daughter’s mouth…. wake up and smell the coffee lady… you might be fooled by the liar, but the rest of us are not!
Finally!Good try Megan, at least someone has tried to get a little tough with these people. Ive seen all these interviews with the Grandmother and she always gets defensive when asked about her daughter and why they arent pressing her harder to find little Caylee. The grandmother says she will do any interview to try to get Caylees picture up to get her found but why hasnt she grabbed her daughter by the arm and shaken her until she tells her where the hell that baby is!!!! The mother(Casey)knows where Caylee is. Her atty has said that the mother knows where she is but he cant reveal the child’s whereabouts due to atty/client privledge. Kudos to you Megan for TRYING to get some answers.I pray that child is safe.
First of all, props to Megan for this interview. This story is unreal! The grandma needs to be locked up in the cell right next to her daughter Casey. I simply can’t believe that she didn’t know that her granddaughter was missing for a month. Lock up the whole family ’till we start getting some truthful answers from them. Something really, really smells foul about this whole deal. I think they know excactly where she is. Let’s just pray that she’s alright. Unbelievable!
You go Megan. I saw this interview and I wanted to climp into the TV and snatch that Grandmother. You are right…she needs to be locked up right beside her daughter. Something is just not right with this family. I have a daughter and she would get what for if she did not tell me where my grandaughter was. Unreal. I just pray for a good outcome.

The story seems to fishy for the mom to not be involved in something, I’ll admit that.
But I can’t stand the tone of the anchorwoman, basically declaring guilt on the air. Just her inflection is enough to annoy me.
Reason being is that it’s not the job of a “journalist” to show bias one way or the other. Just tell me the damn facts.
Also, it seemed that Fox News was way more interested in plastering the mom’s face all over the screen than the kid’s. We know where the mom is at, so let’s see what the kid looks like so maybe we can help.
Wow, I am so glad that others are thinking this grandma is a loony media whore. Kudos to Megan and also to Greta tonight for putting up with this ridiculous woman. It’s no wonder the daughter is crazy having a whack job like that for a mother. I hope the little girl is ok and when she is found I hope she is placed with sane people.
I just saw the grandmother on Fox News with Greta. She seems to be protecting the daughter. She seemed very rude to me. How can 5 weeks go by and you don’t see your grandchild, especially if you live close by…
My question, if Casey knows where Caylee is, why is she missing? Is she not telling to keep Caylee safe? It’s all very twisted. It’s unreal!
why is Cindy doing all the talking? Isn’t the grandfather the former law enforcement person?
The grandmother’s attitude stinks. Nobody has to watch her whine on National TV. The media is doing her a favor to post pictures of her granddaughter (albeit for ratings and ad revenue–but what else is new?) and she’s acting like she should be allowed to run the interview herself.
The characterizations that have been put forth don’t allow for a lot more than finding a body and going forth with the more formal murder charges for the mother.
I don’t mind seeing the mother, though. She’s a gorgeous woman.
Quite the cat fight. Heck, if I spent the amount of time working my way up to national news anchor I wouldn’t put up with anyone trying to hijack my show or act condescendingly to me, either. You go! Take that [expletive deleted by author] on, and take her down. It’s not the favor the grandmother wanted to act like it is to have her on the show. There are plenty of news stories and plenty of people who all want their fifteen minutes. I would have ended the g’mothers fifteen the instant she got indignant.

Kudos Megyn Kelly for getting tough with Cindy Anthony! My gut tells me that Cindy knows why more than she is willing to tell, she is a liar and a phony. I’m sure that every person in jail would love to get out to help the police LOL give me a break lady!

This grandmother is a chronic complainer and is succeeding in making this ordeal all about her lack of sleep, her not eating, her only drinking water… Why won’t the daughter offer up information that will lead to finding this precious little girl? Grandmother needs to sit her daughter down and tell her she has to speak up and tell the truth.

If Casey and her precious daughter Caylee lived with Casey’s parents HOW was it possible for the grandmother and grandfather NOT to realize Caylee was missing for 5 weeks????? If my 4 year old and 6 year old are quiet for more than 5 minutes I go looking for them….. and there is NO WAY I would withhold any information that could help find them if they went missing……. Maybe Casey and her parents have something to hide??
I think “Grandma” should be sharing a cell with her daughter. She is so obviously lying and obstructing justice herself. She is using the multiple TV appearances to fuel her own sick ego. They both know where Caylee is, the fake tears and declarations of “being to exhausted to expend any energy” clearly show she is there for no other reason for her appearances than to assuage her own guilt and stroke her own ego. Give me a break..too tired to say when she last saw her granddaughter, too tired to say if she even asked where her granddaughter was. Trying to prey on the goodness of other’s hearts to look for Caylee when in her own dark heart she really knows she is gone. Such a shame that she is gone, but a waste of human compassion on heartless women like Mom and Grandmom.
1. The daughter lied about having a job when she was unemployed.
2. The grandmother is delusional. She believes her daughters lies about employment, knowing where this little girl is, etc. She also believes that Caylee called on the day her daughter was arrested. That’s convenient.
3. The shovel being borrowed from the neighbor is a tad suspicious.
Casey and Cindy are both seriously messed up individuals. There is no plausable explanation for Casey’s conduct in failing to report missing Caylee. There is no plausable explanation for Cindy’s defense of Casey.
This is just one in a long line of quality segments by Megyn Kelly. Bravo Megyn, Bravo! You gave Cindy more than enough of a chance to speak and did not allow her to change the focus, finding Caylee.
I’m shocked at the ignorance of these people..I have twin grandchildren 2 yrs next month and a day doesn’t go by when I don’t talk to their Dad or them on the phone..how could this all happen??..if I was given one suspiscious answer as to their whereabouts I would be at their door in a flash..my heart is broken for this child..Megyn..you did a great job..I was sitting here rooting for you..I hope Caylee is found alive, but I have my doubts from the beginning..what a bunch of crack pots!
Way to go, Megyn! I was at work and didn’t see the interview live, but I just watched it on the web and I am so glad someone stepped up and said what I would if I met that witch face-to-face. I think Cindy Anthony has some kind of very serious psychiatric disorder. Maybe someone from Fox needs to interview the g’pa and find out why this woman isn’t in an institution.
Put yourself in Cindy’s shoes. SHES TRYING TO GET THE MESSAGE OUT. Quit baggering her for information let her tell you what you need to hear. You all are so focused on getting the latest scoop. It’s hard to find Caylee if we don’t know all the facts. Why won’t the family be honest? Every one in America wants to find Caylee, but the family shouldn’t be offended when they are asked basic questions like, “Have you ever met the woman who babysits for Caylee?”
i just had to watch that video twice. megan put that wacko biatch in her place. that grandma makes me sick. at first i thought she was a strong woman and the love for her grand child was so powerful that she turned in her own daughter..she seemed heroic. but now she is just a rude pycho. she’s not heroic she’s pathetic. she wants the help of the media but on her terms.. there is a childs life at stake..(her grand child) and the ‘who’s what’s how’s and why’s she argues about is the information they need to find that little girl. they are legite and fair questions. How dare her to ask for the media’s help and then act like they should be honored to be interviewing her..how dare her to threaten the media and say she won’t speak to them.. she either wants the help or she doesn’t.. which is it? I try to understand that it is her daughter but she shouldn’t bother to do the interviews if she can’t handle the questions.. I think she really didn’t know what happened to her grand daughter when she called police but then reality hit her and now she knows her grand daughter is dead..and all she has now is her daughter and she doesn’t want to loose her daughter to prison.. that’s why she is getting so defensive.. she slurs alot like she is on pills.. I try to feel sorry for her but she makes it hard. Casey’s mother, Cindy, is a torn woman. She has a grandchild who is missing and a daughter under suspicion regarding the disappearance of Cindy’s grandchild. That’s a situation I wouldn’t want for myself. Although the circumstances point to Casey Anthony as being the person involved in Caylee’s disappearance, as a parent I wouldn’t want to believe my child was involved in such a sinister act. Eventually, Cindy will come to grips about her daughter’s involvement in this matter. Until then, she will continue to be in denial and defend her daughter.
Why wasn’t Cindy Anthony charged yesterday with perjury when she lied about statements she made to police? The mother, Casey, knows that Caylee is dead why else would Cadaver dogs have picked up the smell. I think the mother ACCIDENTALLY hurt the child and is now trying to cover it up. The WHOLE family is WHACKED OUT so they probably don’t know how to tell the truth.

I just pray for Caylee and her safe return. I don’t like the way this whole thing looks but, Caylee is a beautiful lil girl and I pray for her!! I check the web every day since I heard hoping she will be found. I have grandchildren and I can not even imagine. Bless this lil beautiful girl and bring her home safely!!
There are two glaring, yet unaddressed issues, that I feel come in to play in this scenario. WHO is listed as the father on the birth certificate (IF there is one listed), and why has the grandfather (Cindy Anthony’s husband) been so silent on this matter; also, is he the biological grandfather or a step-grandfather? While this sounds a lot like paranoia, in this day and age of so many horrible crimes against children at the hands of their family members, these questions call for an answer.
I pray for Caylee too. I can not imagine how this could happen. I am afraid she is not coming home, and I think Casey and the whole family knows that. They have all planned this to help Casey. Why would Casey say she will talk if she gets amnesty?? It will be interesting to see which one breaks down first and starts talking. I hope for Caylee’s sake someone does. It would not suprise me if Casey starts blaming someone in her family for hurting Caylee-

My heart goes out to Caylee and I pray that she is alive, but if so, why isn’t Casey telling the authorities “my daughter is alive”??
Please DO NOT put Cindy Anthony on television again! Her ego needs to be deflated. It is not necessary to interview her in order to get information out about Caylee.
Our company is in the missing children recovery business and I personally as CEO left the grandmother, Cindy, a message a couple days ago offering to profile her on our TV show, “Still Missing”, that is seem by hundreds of thousands of people each week and also put her on our website with is in then top 3% in hits. Still have not heard back from her, so what does the say for someone who says they are looking for exposure!
Why do these people and these stories seem to pop up in Florida so frequently?
Good interview, Megyn! I think they all know what happened to Caylee and they are all covering for each other. I think the grandmother has an attitude problem. They need to come clean on what happened to this sweet little girl. This story is unreal.
Megyn, good for you! That grandmother is probably worse than Casey – no wonder Casey is so screwed up! I really don’t like Casey’s attitude, but my feeling for Cindy borders on pure hatred.
This case is the topic at my job and most agree that the grandmother is after the attention, and most likely is the reason Casey is not cooperating. What a total control freak. With “freak” being the operative word.

Did anyone hear the 911 calls on “On The Record” tonight? I can’t wait to see how the grandmother spins this when she clearly says on the 911 call “the car smells like a dead body has been in it”
I truly believe that she found out Casey killed Caylee, helped her bury Caylee somewhere and has been covering it up since then and that is why Casey won;t talk.

At this point the only thing Cindy can say, is that during the 911 call she was also going to report a squirrel missing that was last seen carrying a large pizza. So, the squirrel may have managed to get in the trunk of the car and died of an indigestion after eating the entire pizza. Therefore, there is a small of dead body and old pizza in the trunk…AND she ended up forgetting to report the missing squirrel on the call but she reports his dead body smell…of course she was distressed during the call. Can someone come up with something else better than this?
Come on! there is a distinctive difference between a small of a decomposed pizza, decomposed garbage and a decomposed body. You don’t have to be an expert on anything to tell the difference. Now, imagine the dogs and the people who are trained and specialized to be able to make that distinction? Gimme a break.
Now seriously. Based on ALL circumstances, the chances that the “dead body odor” found in the trunk of the car, be of any other body but the little girl’s is very very small.
Here is my explanation for Cindy’s behaviour – I think most of the parents, particularly mothers, when comes to their own children, they can not help but uses a “different brain” – a brain that will always protect their children – a brain that can not reasoning. This is a family catasthropy. Very very sad.
One more thing. I think Megyn was AWESOME!! She was able stood up for this grandmother and keep her professionalism at the same time. Excellent. The media should look at Megyn as an example. At this point the grandmother is not helping. She is actually getting on the way to find the truth. She should be stopped like Megyn did.

This grandmother needs a serious wake up call!! The cadaver dogs hit on odor in backyard and trunk of cars. Cindy claims the odor was from rotting pizza….NOT TRUE….those dogs do not sniff out anything but decomposing flesh. Caycee is right where she needs to be, calling her mom on the phone, never asking about her missing child, just cursing and pleading for phone number of boyfriend. Does Cindy think this is normal? Today, pics released of Caysee partying while her daughter is supposedly “missing”…she knows where Caylee is because she put her there. I think Cindy’s continually upholding her daughters bad behaviour is probably why Caysee is sociopathic and pathological liar.

cindy anthony is just as guilty as her daughter. i just find it funny that cindy anthony pretty much TOLD 911 it smelled like a dead body was in the car, and now we are just finding out that there was a dead body in the car. is cindy anthony some kind of expert on the smell of dead bodies? no, she is not, however, she ever so quickly described what she smelled. she knows, and she is hiding that she knows what happened to her grandaughter. she tries putting on such an act of denial that her grandaughter is dead because she’s trying to look innocent. why else would you deny the facts that are staring you in the face?
I’m sorry but if my grandchild was missing the first two people i would be looking at for answers would be my son and daughter-n-law, ok they should know where my grandchildren are at all times…….and any way i’d never go a month without seeing or speaking to my grandchildren. I have from the start of all this said to my hubby that Cindy and the brother lee know more than they are telling. they are covering up alot and in the long run it’s gonna jump up and bite them in the ass!!!! Lord please forgive me but right is right and wrong and wrong. What a beautiful lil girl, and my question is why?
