This is the full 13-minute phone call Casey Anthony, the mother of missing 2-year-old Caylee, made to her family on July 16 from the Orange County Jail. First she talked with her mother, Cindy, then her brother, Lee, then her friend, Kristina Chester. The audio has been edited to remove profanity, a password to MySpace, and a phone number for her boyfriend.
She does not sound like a mother who has a lost her daughter. She sounds like a woman who did something bad and is now trying to cover yourself. Her friend Kristina asks, “Is there anything I can do for you?” Casey’s quick answer is “I’m sitting in jail, there’s nothing anyone can do right now.” She has no emotion in her voice except disdain that she is in jail. A rational response would have been, “Please help look for my daughter!” Her friend is in tears, while Casey has not an ounce of emotion in her voice.
Past Tense – Maybe could have?
A common tell investigators look for when interviewing suspects is how do they talk. Casey makes a very scary tell when talking to her friend Kristina. While complaining about the police not following her leads, she says if they had listened to her, ”they maybe could have tracked her down.”
Like I’ve said before, I’m glad this woman is in jail.

Caylee Anthony died in hot car. Mom panicked?
Did she leave the baby in the car when she went on the huge shopping spree? If accounts given that she was a good mom are true as the grandma stated & she should know as they lived there, something must have happened. Given the cadavers dogs hit on the mom’s trunk tells us all someone was deceased in that trunk. DNA reports will tell the tale. Perhaps little Caylee was in the car sleeping or forgotten the day Casey went shopping big time. Perhaps she was just going to run in for a short time thinkng it was okay to leave the baby (of course it’s never ok) I live where this is happening and it’s hot hot hot right now. Unfortunately little one’s all to often are the victims of being left in a car – I don’t understand how it could happen, but it does. Did this happen and Casey flipped out? Not knowing what to do, did she fabricate this tale? That makes more sense than she can’t recall what the sitters place looked like…. did something happen that sent her over the edge? Did the fact that baby’s daddy died a year ago have an effect on her mentally? All I know is Cadaver dogs don’t lie unless before she got the car someone else ws in the trunk which we all doubt. My mother in law lives literally around the corner from where the sitter is supposed to have lived. How can we not look for this little one every time we are on that road? Why borrow a shovel when there are some in parent’s garage? Did parents threaten to take child away prior to her missing? Did she know she’d lose that battle and was not about to let mom have her. ANYONE know what the dogs hiton in parent’s yard? Detective Padilla have an outstanding record from the cases I’ve seen him on, which is more than I can say for the lawyer she has. I think she has mental issues as the doctors stated on NG. Why wouldn’t she’ve told her mom the second Caylee was missing? It;’s adding up but not for the good. If the child died being left in a car it’s certainly not good but it’d be better for the family and Casey to say if that was the case. The truth will soon be revealed with that dna test of the trunk. yes I think she may have left Caylee in the car while she shopped and the girl may have gotten overheated as children do and died.Then she dumped her in a pond someplace/

Water near all these places..and ask if anyone had seen her car in a weird place?

Something I caught the other evening…..Casey has been dating a fellow by the name of Tony for “about a month and a half”. Caylee disappeared a month ago. I cannot help but find the close timelines intriguing. This one angle smacks somewhat of Susan Smith in 1994. Susan wanted a relationship with Tom Findley, an affluent gentleman who was the son of her boss. Tom rather gently, in a letter, turned her down. Susan then killed her two little boys.
Something else I caught, while listening closely to Casey’s recorded jail phone calls…Casey is complaining about how her mother is receiving alot of media attention about this case. Listen very carefully to this part….Casey then goes on to complain to the effect that “all her mother cares about is Caylee; finding Caylee…..” Casey then seems to recover quickly by saying that she (Casey) wants to find her, too. I believe for an unguarded moment there that a glimpse of painful truth showed – - – Casey is feeling rejected and ignored and, in her own unbalanced – narcissistic – mind, unwanted and unloved. She is angry with her mother for so much attention being focused on Cindy and poor little Casey being stuck away in a lonely jail cell. Once again, it reeks of being all about Casey.
Something else intrigued me…..Casey is obsessed with talking to her boyfriend Tony. I have to wonder if she feels a need to possibly corrobate stories with him; to discover what he may have talked to any police about, etcetera.
She knows what happened to her child. End of story.

How many young women, dating someone, would not know their telephone number? And the news has been aired everywhere, he knows she’s been arrested. And the shopping spree, why would she go on such a shopping spree unless 1: she felt she had nothing to lose, and 2: No way to pay, unless she was coming into money, or going to prison anyway? I feel if they look at the purchases, they will find: No purchases for the child, the purchases were probably after the date the child went missing, things bought for herself or friends.
Shows, she knew the child was gone and not coming back. As for the credit cards run up, I wonder if she sold the child expecting a big pay off, and just jumped the gun and went shopping.
It is my professional opinion that Casey Anthony is a sociopath. She is also a narcissist and a pathalogical liar. From the very beginning I did not believe some imaginary babysitter took Caylee, nor that Casey was “Trying to find her daughter.” This case so reminds me of other famous murdering sociopaths: Scott Peterson and Susan Smith. In the Susan Smith case Susan’s new boyfriend told her he: “Did not want to take on someone with kids.” So, Susan plots her childrens murder- a diabolical event in which she, herself, drowns her two little boys in the car. She then contacts the police claiming: “A black man carjacked me and drove off with my two little boys!” (All lies.) In the Scott Peterson case, he was cheating on Laci with Amber Frey (and other women.) Scott made up elaborate lies to Amber such as: “I’m calling you from Paris.” (The police told her that call came from his cellphone in Modesto, his neighborhood.) Scott did not want the responsibility or burden of a wife or son (Connor) and, true sociopath that he is, got rid of them to make way for Amber Frey. Casey Anthony is obsessed with her “New boyfriend Tony” and NEVER mentioned Caylee to him when they lived together. Her jail calls were desperate attempts to “Give me Tony’s phone number.” “Do you have Tony’s number? Can you get it for me?” NEVER a mention of Caylee. Because Caylee is gone.. Caylee was an albatross in her new life with a new boyfriend. Sociopaths look and act like you and me. But the key word here is ACT. Their mental illness makes them genuinely UNABLE to feel any remorse, guilt, empathy or pain for anyone but themselves. They cannot be rehabilitated. Sociopaths are not to be believed and, if at all possible, avoided at all costs.
SICK, SICK FAMILY! The mother and grandmother know! I have 3 grandkids they dont live with me, but in 1 day of not speaking or seeing me I would know somethings wrong. But WE LOVE OUR KIDS! So 31 days don’t cut it with me ! SICK SICK FAMILY! And the car a joke ! Give the evidence back to the murderer! Wash the clothes and shit, you dont just lose a child for 31 days! opps nanny lost her! YEAH RIGHT WERE NOT STUPID LIKE THEM!
I agree that Casey ABSOLUTELY knows where her daughter is and I ABSOLUTELY agree that this sounds an aweful lot like another Susan Smith case. (wanch!!!)
If that child had been kidnapped or left with that Gonzalez chick, that Gonzalez woman would’ve called in by now–this story is BIG TIME all over the news and radio and even backwoods country folks with no Directv know about this story, so if Gonzalez had Caylee, she would’ve called and let someone know by now.

I can not believe that this is STILL freakin’ happening in this country. I can not believe Cindy calls Casey a good mother. What kind of ‘good’ mother leaves her child with a ‘baby-sitter’ for weeks at a time??? Unless Casey were going out of town or something then we could understand, but not seeing your child for 30 or so days and act like it’s no big deal, like this is just a normal way of life for them and then show the NATION a total lack of emotion for the baby, YOUR BABY that is missing!!! AND THEN throw a tantrum with your mother on the telephone about not getting boyfriends number right when you ask for it!!!!
And if they all live together, which they do, how come CINDY didn’t get worried after not seeing the baby for a week or so?!?!?!? And then she,Cindy, frantically calls police, why frantic??? Because I believe Cindy was and has always been perfectly aware of Casey’s mental status and I believe when Casey returned home without that baby, Cindy immediately knew!!! I believe Cindy also knows what happened to Caylee but fears the humiliation from the community because then everyone will look at her like, ‘YOU could’ve prevented this! why didn’t YOU do something!’
If this child is dead the only peace I get from even thinking it, is that I know she is with God and she will never have to suffer abuse or neglect again!!!

I just wanted to add this, I lost my 3 yr old daughter once inside Bass Pro Shops and for those 3-4 MINUTES I could not find her, I was FRANTIC!!!! I was yelling her name walking all around asking people if they’d seen her and then I SAW her being held by an associate at the front of the store and was soooooo relieved that I almost threw up after I got her back. But the whole incident only lasted 3 minutes maybe, but it’s just proof that your child being ’snatched’ can happen so quick. I am VERY fortunate that she wasn’t snatched from the store, but the point is, she was only ‘missing’ for such a short time and I promise you everyone inside that store knew I was looking for her and they knew her name!
So what’s the deal Casey??? Where is she???
I think they need to electric probe her butt until she comes clean!!!
Wow. I’ve been wondering what mental illness this woman has, and thanks to Dr. Anne above, I now know what a sociopath is. This is so scary and so sad. My hope is that they will find this baby’s body so they can give her a proper burial. My most fervent wish, however, is that they will put her on trial and convict her of murder. Maybe she doesn’t have a conscience and feels no remorse, but she needs to pay for what she has done. I am outraged, and in view of all the protesters outside the Anthony house, I’m not the only one.
why does she keep saying that she went to work on June 9th and left Caylee with babysitter if she did
not even have a job anymore at Universal? Also what
has happened with the chloroform evidence? I heard
that there were searches on her computer. Has Casey
or the family been questioned about that yet?
