  1. The cause of that price going up is the failed policies of the republican party. The democrats have had difficulty passing legislation because of their very narrow majority in the senate and because the president has veto power. Show me how democratic policies have caused that price to go up.

  2. No jackass, it’s the failed policy of the Democrat congress who refuses to do anything for oil.

No drilling, the trees are so pretty!

  3. Okay, calling me a jackass was uncalled for. Like I said before, show me how Democratic policies have caused this. Don’t just say they did it, prove your point. Your graphic is pretty, but if you can’t show me a correlative relationship between Democratic policies and gas prices, it is worthless. In 1979 Jimmy Carter warned the American people about this. He said we should use solar and wind power and develop these technologies, then Reagan won and somehow Jimmy Carter became a joke. He was right though. We don’t need oil! We can use cleaner more efficient technologies that don’t rely on foreign countries.
The oil companies have leases for land they can drill on that they aren’t using but they want more leases. They should use what they have and if they still need more we can give them more, but drilling for more oil isn’t going to fix this problem. It’s like putting a bandage over a gunshot wound, it isn’t going to help much, we need to think long-term. We need to think of how we can avoid this kind of problem in the future. Oil is an old technology, let it go, we can do better.

  4. C,mon J.P. don’t talk sense here. Facts might get in the way of the right wingers. Drill, drill, drill and the oil companies will reduce the prices. HAHHAHAHAHA
