Kwame Kilpatrick will be charged tomorrow!

The Kwame news doesn’t stop. The Detroit Free Press is reporting that Attorney General Mike Cox will be charging Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick with
- Felonious Assault
- Obstruction of Justice.
The charges would be in relation to an incident on the porch of Mayor Kilpatrick’s sister Ayanna’s porch. During that incident, Kilpatrick is accused of assaulting a Wayne County Prosecutor’s office investigator who was trying to serve a subpoena on the mayor’s friend, Bobby Ferguson.
Cox is expected to announce the charges during a 10:00AM press conference, Friday morning.

“Attorney General Mike Cox is planning to charge Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick with at least one felony — allegedly assaulting or obstructing an officer “or duly authorized person” trying to serve court papers — according to person familiar with the incident.”
