Jerry Seinfeld’s Original Mac Ad

September 6, 2008

Here is the original ad Apple produced many years ago asking people to “think different”

And now, he’s been bought by Bill Gates and Microsoft. As you can see, the PC ad is completely lame compared to Apple.

Et tu Jerry?

  1. I like both.

At the time Apple was a small, tiny, almost non-factor so they needed a grand big commercial.

While Microsoft is everywhere and they’re seen as the big, corporate bad guy. So they need a more low-key, dorky commercial.

  2. I like the apple one better, it is more impressive.
The Microsoft ad is entertaining. I like Jerry Seinfeld and thought the ad was well done.

I use linux now, I will never willingly buy a windows machine, I may buy an apple machine.

  3. Just because he apears in the ad, doesnt mean its “his ad”. I dont think einstein had much to do with the ad either.

  4. No, Einstein used an iMac. Didn’t you know that?

  5. It’s “Et tu” as in “Et tu, Brute?” Dumbass. (Quick, delete my comment!)

  6. I didnt knew Einstein were gay O.o I thought he was man enough to use a PC… OMG!

M$ commercial is way better than Apple’s commercial. Seinfeld is great, but this commercial could be better…

By the way, why Apple curse PCs? Apple is a PC. They are not using RISC technology anymore, their processor is intel… Apple is a PC like all other PCs.. The only difference is that Apple make Drag Queen PCs!

  7. It is easy to see that you don’t understand the advertisment. This one ad was meant to introduce the characters, much like in the cereal commercial with the guy who was chewing the crunchy cereal so much he didn’t know he was fired. After a while, more commercials came out and since the character was already introduced more funny could ensue.
