Barack Obama’s email HACKED! (Pictures)
September 17, 2008Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin has had her email hacked into today. Fox News reports, “Gawker.com posts family photos and snapshots of e-mail exchanges the Alaska governor had with colleagues. Gawker says the-email account has since been shut down, but it will leave the images up on its site for all to see. ‘Here are the screenshots of the emails saved before the account went dark, along with the contact list. It’s newsworthy and we will not be taking it down!’ the site declares.”
Hot Air has linked to an article that the FBI is now looking into these hacking cases.
However, she is not alone. The Onion has breaking news that presidential candidate Barack Obama has also had his email hacked into. Here are three screen shots of his gmail account. Click the photos for a large picture.
Just curious how you rethuglican headbangers are planning on (a) defending Palin communicating via non-state email talking state business (like, durr, against the freakin’ law) and (b) being dumb enough to use the email handle “gov.palin@yahoo.com” and not expect to get hacked. My, she is not only a paragon of virtue but a veritable genius too. Not.

Last tuesday y was watching the american elections and found out that an evaluation I had done in April 2008 on your speech in Denver to enter the Democratic campaing ,with/against Hillary Clinton. Barack Obama’s speech on January 30, 2008
I am writing this essay to evaluate the effectiveness of Obama’s speech on January 30 2008 in Denver. He gives this speech to become the Democratic Party candidate for the United States presidential elections.
He starts of his speech by blaming the president of the United States, George Bush, and Dick Cheney for failing their policies. He says that it is time to turn the page on the failed politics that made those policies possible. As a start for a democrat candidate, it is very good because it fulfils the needs of the democratic Americans that blame Bush and Dick Cheney. He is with people that have the same idea as he has and because he says that what he wants is what they want, they approve of him for they think he will be able to take their thoughts onwards.
In his speech he uses a variety of resources which have been said to make speeches and lectures more effective. This are: appeal to emotion, appeal to authority, contrast, metaphor, quotations from famous people or speeches, exaggeration, groups of three, definition, short sentences, repetition, parallelism and the offer of solutions.
In almost the entire second paragraph he uses appeal to emotion to gain the attention of the people. He says that George Bush prevented them from being able to fight together against challenges like health care, clean energy and crumbling schools. By doing this he makes the people think worst of Bush because they think that he has deprived them of things like freedom, power or survival. This resource is very useful because it makes people think that he will never permit that to happen once he is the president of the United States. And by this he makes Bush look even worse which would make people think that republicans do not have the guts to rule in the United States of America.
The use of the appeal to authority is less used but also important to make the speech as plausible as possible. The use of expert facts may look uninteresting but to some of the voters which actually take those facts into account, they do matter. There is a difference if one candidate is going to spend X% of the GDP in health and safety and if the other is going to spend (X-20) % of the GDP in health and safety. Because of this it makes the speech not only interesting to the normal audience but also to the audience which does not care what the words are if facts are not given.
Obama also uses contrast and opposition but maybe not in the exact way that one would use it. Instead of saying things like it is enough of whites, up to blacks, he states that it is not what Bush wants, good vs. evil, black vs. white, poor vs. rich or young vs. old. He uses it in a more humane way, he says that it is time for unity and not division, it is no more a race of who gets to scare more the people, it is a race of hope vs. the fears that Bush has put in the Americans minds. This is also very useful for people are aware of their fears and if they see that Obama is a clear passage to hope they will vote for him.
He uses a quotation from the speech of John F. Kennedy, “the world is changing. The old ways will not do…It is time for a new generation of leadership”. This more effective even because this quotation comes from the speech that Kennedy gave when he was named president. The actual meaning was that he was going to be the youngest president of the United States and therefore he changes the normal way of old people in charge, Obama is related to this because both his opponents have a quite good sack of years to carry on their backs which means that actually he is the most possible to bring in new ideas that make the united states become a better place. This is very important because Kennedy was a great president and if he is able to compare himself to Kennedy people will think that he will also do great things.
As a conclusion I would say that having read his speech and supposing that the rest are as good or better than this one he is the most possible candidate to the democrat party and possibly the future United States president. His use of correct methods is great and therefore any of his speeches are able to catch you for the big importance that Obama gives to saying us instead of me and you. His speech is effective for any method of thinking.
