I’m normall a big FOX news fan but they’re pulling an MSNBC. There is no guarantee or provision in the bailout to force the firms to use the funds they receive to extend credit to the US economy! So what did anyone learn from that exchange? Nothing. O’Reilly did his trademarked rant and tried to bully Frank into shutting up. (And when that sophisticated journalistic technique doesn’t work for him on other interviews, he just cuts the guest/victim mic anyway.) Yelling down the opposition is exactly the kind of crap fascists throughout history have done because fascists believe no one has the right to oppose them so they don’t want to argue or debate, they just want the other side to shut up. Unfortunately for O’Reilly, we are not yet a fascist state so that whole tantrum just came of as childish and, as Frank said, boorish. Destroyed Frank? Maybe if O’Reilly had actually made a factual point that contradicted him he might have, but he did not.
Seems that ‘conservatives’ think all we should do about the economic disaster is fire a few people tangentially connected with it and just carry on the same. That might make the ‘red meat’ cons satisfied, but anyone with half a brain realizes those losers in Washington need to take drastic legislative steps to protect the wealth of this country and just yelling at Barney Franks doesn’t save anyone’s house, pension or anything else.

I thought he was disgusting! He seemed like a violent hack and I thought for a mintue he had lost his mind–he was completely full of shit and Franks totally exposed his deceptive bullsh*t. But overall I found it juvenile and offensive.
